This week’s advent picture challenges involves 2 chenille stems/pipe cleaners and your Christmas tree. If you were at KiDSCOR this past weekend you got 2 chenille stems on your way out, if you did not get them feel free to use 2 of our own.
Your challenge is this…take your chenille stems and create a Christmas Ornament with them. Then hang your creation on your Christmas tree and take a picture of your tree with the chenille stem ornament on the tree.
Post your picture on twitter or instagram with the hashtag #kidscordoesadvent or post it on Facebook and tag KiDS COR in the post. We’ll pick our favorite pic at the end of the week and we’ll give the winner a fun advent prize! Good Luck!
Over the past month we challenged our kiddos in KiDSCOR to collect 10,000 quarters for our new building campaign and our kids came through in a BIG way. As of Sunday, March 2nd KiDS COR has collected 13,304 quarters!!! AWESOME JOB everyone!!
A little side note to this challenge was if the goal was reached kids would be able to throw pies at Mr. Nick’s face! And that is what happened last weekend. Take a look below! The kids also had the chance to present their offerings in the sanctuary at the end of each service!
It was a great weekend! Thank you all for building our future!
On Sunday, November 4th the 3rd-5th graders put their faith into action. After eating a delicious donut they spent their time in KiDS COR putting together goodies bags that will go into the Joy Boxes that will be distributed this Christmas at our partner schools in downtown KC. The kids put together over 1,300 bags! Great job! Here are a few pics of them hard at work.
Just a few weeks ago our upper elementary kids created some blankets to give to our local mission partners at Spofford House and Hope Faith. Here’s our cool group of kids with the blankets they created!
Each fall we invite the families of our Kindergarteners to join in KiDS COR. We celebrate the big milestone of moving upstairs, learn how to pray together, and then worship together in Bible Theatre. Here are some pics from the day! Thanks to Mr. Jack for taking some great pics.
Drama Time In Bible Theatre!
This past Sunday our elementary kiddos got to hear the story of Moses as told by our drama team. Our drama team is made up of youth and adults who help tell the Bible story in a unique way. On stage in this picture is Annika, Kajsa, Morgan, and Mr. Keith!
This past Sunday was Three Year Old Celebration to look back and also look forward on their faith passage. All rainbow classes and their parents attended their class and enjoyed different stations, moved to Tree House Park for praise and worship and then the parents stayed to hear helpful tips and information from Pastor Lisa Holliday and Amy Fulton. We all celebrated with some cookies and freebies at the end!
Here are some pictures from the celebration!

Our 3rd-5th graders just returned from a great week at youthfront camp!! Over 250 kids attended and had a blast! From nightstrike to the shaving cream war to the Christmas themed pool party fun was had by all and a lot of memories were made.
Not only did we play some sweet games but the kids had a chance to grow in their relationship with Christ through chapel time as well as cabin activities that helped them go deeper in their faith.
If your kids attended camp leave a comment as to what they like best!
